Course Overview
The CCIE 360 Routing and Switching Advanced Workshop 1 (CIERS1) is an intensive Boot Camp style Cisco training course designed to help prepare the Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) candidate for their CCIE Routing &Switching practical exam. This course will help candidates determine their progress in their CCIE R&S practical exam preparation, will improve on current knowledge and fill in any gaps in understanding through lectures and labs and the class is approximately 60% lecture and 40% labs. After the completion of the technology lecture (which includes guidance on the best practices for the application of this technology), candidates will complete labs based on that technology.Once the class is completed, candidates will perform an eight-hour graded CCIE level practice lab, providing invaluable experience for the exam. Additionally, they will be taught how to develop study plans, how to use checklists and decision diagrams to produce the mindset required to pass the CCIE lab. With this stored in their Learning Management System online portal, candidates can review the material covered in the CCIE 360 class whenever they wish. Please note that this class is just one part of the Cisco 360 Learning Programme for CCIE Routing and Switching.
Target Audience
The CIERS1 Cisco training course is intended for anyone who is in the process of preparing for the CCIE Routing and Switching practical exam and who is within three to six months out from the lab date. Certification candidates are expected to have an in-depth understanding of the topics covered in the exam blueprints and are recommended to have three to five years of job experience before attempting certification.Course Objectives

- RIP v2
- IGP Route Redistribution
- Controlling IGP Updates with Route Maps and Distribute Lists
- Configuring BGP-4 Neighbor Relationships (including Route Reflectors and Confederations)
- Filtering BGP Updates using Prefix Lists, AS Path Access Lists, Communities, and Route Maps
Course Prerequisites
Candidates attending the CIERS1 Cisco training course should hold a valid CCNP or equivalent job experience, a passing score on the CCIE written theory exam 350-001 CCIE R&S and completion of the CCIE 360 R&S Core e-Learning course are required prerequisites.Testing and Certification
The CIERS1 Cisco training course is the recommended preparation for the eight-hour practical lab exam which requires candidates to configure a series of complex networks to given specifications. Knowledge of troubleshooting is an important skill and candidates are expected to diagnose and solve issues as part of the CCIE lab exam. You will not configure end-user systems, but are responsible for all devices residing in the network. The CCIE 360 R&S Prep Bootcamp 2, CCIE 360 R&S Practice Labs and CCIE 360 Mentoring Services are recommended for further study.Course Content
