Module 1: Architecture, Planning and DeploymentIn this module candidates will learn about the system architecture that is used by OCS 2007 R2. This module details fundamentals, server roles, and component dependencies as well as planning and deployment scenarios.

In this module candidates will be guided through preparing Active Directory and DNS for an OCS installation. Following these steps, OCS 2007 is installed and validated.
Module 2: IM and Presence
In this module candidates will learn about the rich presence advancement that Office Communications Server is delivering. Additionally this module describes Office Communicator clients, and deployment scenarios.

In this lab candidates will learn about the installation of Office Communicator, OCS 2007 R2 Attendant and new rich-presence capabilities. This lab also illustrates enabling users for IM and testing the clients.
Lab: Installing and Configuring Communicator Web Access R2
In this lab candidates will be guided through the installation and configuration of Communicator Web Access.
Lab: Installing and Configuring GFC Functionality and Enabling Users for Group Chat Console
In this lab candidates will learn about the implementation of a Group Chat Server, followed by the features of the Group Chat Client.
Module 3: Conferencing
In this module candidates will learn about the new on-premise conferencing capability within OCS 2007 R2 and the differences between LiveMeeting Service and on-premise capability. This module also differentiates conferencing clients and requirements.

Module 4: Remote Access
In this module candidates will learn about the Edge role within an OCS 2007 R2 implementation, and the process one needs to follow to define the appropriate topology. After covering the fundamentals information will be shared on the best practices in relation to configuration and maintenance.

In this lab candidates will be provided with hands-on experience in preparing and implementing Remote Access. Candidates will create and assign certificates, and test external Communicator connectivity.
Module 5: Troubleshooting
In this module candidates will learn about the new management tools and techniques for troubleshooting OCS 2007 R2. This module walks through some tools and techniques for identifying any deployment problems.

In this module candidates will learn about planning for adding voice capability to the implementation of OCS 2007 R2. This module assists in understanding the dial-plan, and connecting to the telephony infrastructure.

In this module candidates will learn about the interaction of OCS 2007 R2 and Exchange 2007 SP1Unified Messaging. This module details the environment, dial-plan integration, and steps required to add OCS 2007 R2 to Exchange UM infrastructure.
