Course Overview

The Configuring, Managing and Troubleshooting Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 M10135 instructor-led training course has been designed to provide candidates with the knowledge and skills to configure and manage an Exchange Server 2010 messaging environment. The course does not require prior Exchange Server experience; however candidates are required to have significant experience in managing Windows Server and Active Directory directory services or Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS).

In this course candidates will learn how to configure Exchange Server 2010, as well as obtain guidelines, best practices, and considerations that will help to optimise Exchange Server deployment.

Candidates who should consider attending the M10135 Microsoft training course are those who are aiming to be enterprise-level messaging administrators and who wish to embark on a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 Certification Path. Course Prerequisites

Candidates attending the M10135 Microsoft training course are expected to have at least three years` experience working in the IT field; typically in the areas of network administration, help desk, or system administration.

Candidates are not expected to have prior experience with Exchange Server versions however they are expected to have a fundamental knowledge of network technologies including Domain Name System (DNS) and firewall technologies.

Candidates are required to have a working experience with: Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and 2008 operating systems, Active Directory directory services in Windows Server 2003 or AD DS Windows Server 2008, backup and restore on Windows Servers, Windows management and monitoring tools such as Microsoft Management Console, Active Directory Users and Computers, Performance Monitor, Event Viewer, and Internet Information Services (IIS) Administrator as well as Windows networking and troubleshooting tools such as Network Monitor, Telnet, and NSLookup.

Finally, candidates should also have a fundamental knowledge of certificates and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)as well as basic experience using Windows Mobile.
